The Snow Has Arrived!

I was starting to get worried that we would have a green Christmas!  Not that we ever have them here in Central NY.  I think I can remember one year that it didn't snow and I've been around for quite a few years....   But, not to worry, the white stuff has arrived.

I like the way the snow covers the trees and houses. I like it more when I am inside one of those houses looking out the window.  But, here it is, in all its glory.

I've knit up a few pairs of fingerless gloves and scarflettes to keep you warm.  So stop by my shop and stock up on warm and cozy accessories to keep the chill away~

I've also added a couple felted wool bowls that make great Christmas gifts.  Fill them with candy, nuts or cookies and you have a beautiful gift that can be used all year long!

So come on in on etsy or artfire for some fabulous finds!

New This Week

Warm and Fuzzy goodness has been added to my shops this week.

I just love this Morning Glory Felted Wool Lariat Necklace, just added this morning! It can be worn in so many different ways ~ The perfect gift for the hard to buy for woman.

A new set of fingerless gloves and cowl - in a softer than soft lemon yellow. Can't you just taste the lemon meringue pie just by looking at them? (my mom makes the BEST lemon meringue pie, by the way)

A fun bright felted wool bowl in 2 shades of teal with stunning red accents. This one reminds me of the American SouthWest... Definately a fun bowl to have in your home.

And getting ready for Christmas, I've added a very cute Christmas Tree Vase. Just right for peppermint sticks or put a glass inside for some fresh cut flowers.

And who could resist this soft felted wool wallet in bright teal? Made with snap closure, great for teens on the go.

Getting ready for Christmas

It seems so early to be getting my shops ready for the winter holidays. Although I am not an early shopper, I know there are those out there that have all their holiday shopping done and stashed away sometime in July. Well, maybe someday I will join that club! Meanwhile, I am slowly stocking my shops for those early shoppers.

And while everything in my shop makes fabulous unique gifts, here are some of the items that have holiday themes. Look for more during the coming weeks as well!

Where did summer go?

Just last week we had sweltering temps here in central NY. Yesterday we woke up to 55 degrees. My youngest daughter started her second year at community collgege and after labor day, the school busses will be back on the roads. My garden is starting to slow down and will soon be ready to prepare for next year and the days are starting to get shorter and shorter. Where did summer go?

Cold weather is coming soon and I have a brand new scarflette that I am most excited about that is called Waves. The one below is the first one that is available and is made in a beautiful tan and is so soft knit with a wool and acrylic blend.

I wrote the pattern out while making it and my tester is already making sure there are no mistakes. Once she is finished, this pattern will also be available in my shops, so stay tuned for that! And in the meantime, if you want to get your knitting needles clicking, check out these two knitting patterns. They are both quick and easy knits but with stunning results that will really impress your friends!

I find such comfort knitting on cold rainy days, so off I go to my knitting chair with a cup of coffee. Hoping you all have a great day!

New Items

As I await for the winner of my giveaway to reply to my notice, I will show you some of my newest bowls.

This brown bowl is semi-felted with wool and acrylic. I thought I would try something a bit different and am very pleased with the way it turned out. It makes a nice bowl for fruit, rolls or home decor, but would also make a great planter cover!

I am loving red lately. It is such a bold and happy color. This red wool bowl blends some orange and yellows throughout and is a nice size to hold all your little items.

This lovely grey wool scarflette is very versitile and can be worn in several different way and is super soft!

And keep you cellphone, camera or ipod scratch free in this pink knit cozy ~

Sunday Morning

I am quite pleased with my garden so far this year. Things are starting to flower which means we will have some great fresh veggies soon. Each year I try something new and this years new item is green peppers. They don't seem to be growing very tall, but they are starting to get flowers so I'm just waiting to see what I get from them. I also have the regular stuff - beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchini and yellow squash.

I've listed a few new items in my shop this past week. In addition to listing more vintage buttons, I've added 3 new bowls and a scarfette.

Summer Sun is a vibrant orange felted wool bowl with a large red dot on the bottom edged in brown. I think it is rather stunning.

Chocolate Blueberry is a felted wool bowl in blue and brown. I think it would be lovely in kitchen or dinning room.

This wool scarfette in avadaco is just right for fall. It is knit with 100% wool with three rows of cables.

I named this felted bowl Log Cabin as I think it would be a great accent in a rustic setting.

I have a full length wool scarf and a super size felted bowl getting ready for next week, so keep on checking in to my etsy shop and artfire studio.
